Sunset ridge is one of the few master planned communities in Evergreen. For Evergreen, this is one of the more traditional family neighborhoods in the sense that the homes are close together and all the roads are paved. Homes in this neighborhood are typically 3,000 square foot plus in size. This neighborhood is conveniently located only two miles from downtown Evergreen and Evergreen Lake. If you commute to Denver you are right on Highway 74 which takes you right down to Denver.
Sunset Ridge Estates is located up on a mountain so many of the homes have great mountain views. The neighborhood roads are county maintained during the Winter so you will be able to easily get in and out when it snows. Road maintenance is paid for by home owner association dues.
I rented a home in Sunset Ridge Estates the first year I lived in Evergreen and it was a great way to get to know other families. At the base of the mountain is a convenience store / gas station along with the Kittredge Post Office and an assortment of great restaurants and retails stores. Across the street is Kittredge park which is a great place to take the kids and have a picnic next to the river. If you enjoy hiking, mountain biking or fly fishing, you are in close proximity to several open space parks such as O’fallon Park, Pence Park, Mount Falcon Park, and Lair O’ The Bear Park.
