If you are considering moving to Evergreen CO and you will commute to Denver then you will want to know how far Evergreen CO is to downtown Denver. I personally live in Evergreen so I can tell you first hand what the commute is like. This answer is dependent on where you will live in Evergreen. I am going to map it from three different locations. I am going to map it from North Evergreen, Central Evergreen and South Evergreen. Other conditions like weather and traffic can influence these times but this will give you a general idea of what the commute looks like.
I will say that from North Evergreen it only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to Golden or Lakewood which are the closest cities. From here you have access to malls, restaurants, movie theaters, etc.
North Evergreen is one of the most desirable and convenient locations to commute to Denver from simply because of its close proximity to Interstate 70. Genesee, which is just 1.5 miles East on 1-70 from Evergreen is also a popular place to live for commuters.
If you live in Central Evergreen which is in the vicinity of Downtown Evergreen and the Evergreen Lake area, there are two routes you could take when commuting to Denver. The first route would be I-70 and the second route would be down Bear Creek Canyon on 74.
South Evergreen is going to be South of Lake Evergreen. If you live closer to Conifer and Highway 285 then this is the recommended route you would take to get to downtown Denver on your commute.
