TIPS ON BUYING A HOME IN EVERGREEN CO

Buying a home in the mountains is very different than buying a home in the city. Mountain homes are more likely to be on well & septic and propane vs natural gas as well as easments and may be located on multiple land parcels. Have you ever dealt with Radon before? It is important to have a real estate broker that specializes in mountain properties in the Denver foothills area. Having an experienced mountain broker can also give you an advantage when presenting and winning the offer process. I also recommend having a local mortgage lender that is familiar with working with mountain properties.

EVERGREEN IS A SEASONAL REAL ESTATE MARKET

Evergreen is a seasonal real estate market and depending on the time of year you are searching for a home the inventory can vary greatly.  From March to early November each year that is high inventory season. This is when the best selection of homes will be available and may be your best chance of purchasing. From November to March each year that is our low inventory season. I tell you this so if you are online searching for homes and you are don't see much to choose from don't be discouraged. During the winter months you just have to be more persistent with your search. Evergreen Colorado is a Denver suburb that is a close-nit community of people that embrace the mountain lifestyle. While Evergreen is a small mountain town of about 10,000 people it is not a sleepy mountain town. Evergreen hosts many events every year ranging from the Evergreen Concert Series, Chilli Cookoff, WinterFest, Art Festivals, Music Festivals, rodeo, marathons and so much more. Working with Shad to purchase a home was an unexpected pleasure which we highly recommend. We were looking at different places to buy a home for retirement (very far from our current home) and decided on Evergreen after connecting with Shad and his extensive wealth of knowledge thru his Evergreen Experience web site.
